Breast Augmentation

Surgery silicone implants are known as breast augmentation and modifies the size and shape of women’s breasts. There are several decisions to be taken by you and Dr. Ruiz in order to develop a plan for surgery, including:.Type, size and shape of the implant, the incision location and implant placement.

Breast implants that Dr. Ruiz used in surgery are of the highest quality and recognized brands which are internationally accepted and are considered safe for placement in the human body.

Silicone implants have a smooth or textured outer shell; conical shape is round or oval drop. The implants are available in different shapes and sizes which enable each woman to get optimal long-term results. Dr. Elizabeth Ruiz offers silicone gel implants for medical use and the new form of stable cohesive gel implants to maintain their firm cone shape, once inside the body.

This allows them to maintain a soft edge on the upper chest and maximum projection where it is most needed.

The decision of the location of the incision is best done after a physical exam with Dr. Ruiz, because it is related to the choice of implants and the amount of skin and sagging. The three most acceptable locations are: in the crease of the breast (mammary incision below), around the nipple (periareolar incision) and inverted T-shaped.

The location of the implant may be above or below the chest muscle. Sub glandular muscle is above and below the breast tissue. Sub muscle is below the pectoralis muscle. Dr. Ruiz guides each of their patients to decide what is best for them, as there are many factors that influence this decision: If you are sagging, the amount of breast tissue, recovery, and activity level are just some of the factors to be taken into account when planning surgery.

Please contact Dr. Elizabeth Ruiz for more information on breast augmentation for a consultation and assessment of your case.
